"Gestiamo le coste ospitando le tartarughe" è il titolo dell'incontro pubblico del 19 aprile 2016 promosso dal progetto europeo CARETTA CALABRIA.

All'incontro verrà presentato un Protocollo operativo per i Piani Spiaggia, che definisce linee guida per una gestione responsabile dell'arenile in presenza di nidificazione di Caretta Caretta, specie prioritaria per la Direttiva Habitat. Particolarmente interessati saranno tutti i Comuni della Costa dei Gelsomini. Durante l'incontro verranno presentati dal Comune di Palizzi e dai referenti dell’Assessorato Pianificazione Territoriale ed Urbanistica della Regione Calabria, gli output del progetto e verrà aperto un dibattito in merito alle opportunità e problematiche correlate.

L'evento si terrà presso la Sala Biblioteca del Comune di Palizzi (RC) dalle ore 10:00.

"Management of the coast hosting the Caretta turtles" is the title of the public meeting of 19th April, 2016 organised by the CARETTA CALABRIA European project.

During the meeting will be presented an operating protocol which sets guidelines for a responsible management of the beaches in the presence of loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta caretta), priority species for the Habitats Directive. Particularly affected will be all the municipalities of the Costa dei Gelsomini. During the meeting will be presented by the representatives of the Municipality of Palizzi and by the Office for Regional Planning and Urbanism of the Calabria Region, the outputs of the project and a debate on the opportunities and related issues will be opened.

The event will be held at 10am in the Hall Library of the City of Palizzi (RC).
